Crime Prevention is Everybody's Business

Because the job of security and crime prevention is everybody’s business, we thought we’d ask for your help. After all, who knows more about the comings and goings of your workplace than you. While TD Centre security personnel do everything possible to provide tenants with a safe and crime free environment, you and your co-workers could be of great help by following a few basic crime prevention steps during business hours.

  1. When you leave your office, remember not to leave purses in plain view or wallets in coat pockets. Small valuable articles are easy targets and even easier to conceal.
  2. Laptops are popular with thieves. Always secure your laptop away when leaving your office.
  3. The majority of thefts occur over lunchtime or just before closing. Thieves take advantage of movement and periods when people are away from their offices. Lock valuables away or take them with you. If not on your person, purses and wallets should be kept in your line of vision. Purses should not be left on the back of your chair.
  4. Protect your keys and never have an identifying tag attached. Don't make it too easy for them.
  5. Be suspicious of anyone wandering through your premises or exhibiting uncooperative behaviour when questioned. Don’t hesitate to call Security at 416-366-7823. We’ll be there in no time.
  6. And remember, never put yourself in danger. Call us.
